In 1987, Clarence Thomas married Virginia Lamp, a colleague. She works for Republican Congressman Dick Armey as a lobbyist and personal assistant.
Even after marrying Virginia Lamp, Clarence held custody of Jamal. In addition, he and his second wife focused on raising their kid.
Because of her conservative ideas and activities, she has been a divisive figure. There are no children between the two of them. In 1997, they brought in Thomas’s six-year-old great-nephew, Mark Martin Jr., who had been living with his mother.

Before getting married, the pair dated for almost a year. They married in Worcester, Massachusetts, a day after his graduation, in June 1971.
They were drawn together by their shared desire for racial equality. Kathy was also a part of a lot of protests for various social issues.
